This course introduces the language and culture of Japan through a thematic approach. Selected topics include geography, climate, population, and industry. This course is designed to develop advanced Japanese language competency and to introduce various aspects of related Japanese culture using technology and web-based materials. Taught in Japanese. Course Refelction
This class was one of my favorite MLO 2, culture, classes that I have taken during my studies here at CSU Monterey Bay. While we did have regular classroom meetings, most of the course material was done online and in Japanese. We explored various statistics, and data related to Japanese climate, geography, and population. Also this class taught us various new Japanese vocabulary, and grammar points. Our understanding and knowledge of what we learned was also tested through various quizzes and and mini presentation. One of the mini presentation that I did in a pair was about the Great Hanshin earthquake, which is attached below.
